Meet the team

  • Cheryl

Hi, I’m Cheryl, the founder of Alaga Australia. I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from both the Philippines and the University of Canberra, Australia. My early nursing career began in a military air force hospital in the Philippines, where I gained valuable experience in providing care under high-pressure environments.

I also hold a Certificate IV in Disability, a Diploma in Community Services, and Advanced Leadership Diploma. Currently, I am completing my Master of Business to strengthen my leadership and service management skills.

Outside of work, I’m a licensed skipper and dedicate my Sundays to volunteer work with para rowers, helping create opportunities for inclusion and community connection. These experiences reflect my belief in living with purpose, resilience, and compassion, which I bring into every aspect of Alaga Australia.

  • Simon D

Hi, I’m Simon, part of the team at Alaga Australia. I graduated in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Information Technology and a Bachelor of Computer Science. With a strong foundation in technology, I enjoy exploring innovative ways to support people and make life easier through smart, practical solutions.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about photography, astronomy, and drone flying (UAV/FPV building and flying). I’m also a licensed skipper and an active volunteer with the Para Rowing Club, where I enjoy contributing to an inclusive and supportive community.

Adventurous at heart, I spend much of my free time outdoors — capturing moments through the lens, exploring nature, and embracing new challenges.

  • Mary

Hi, I’m Mary, a Registered Nurse in both the Philippines and Australia. I hold a Master of Nursing from the Philippines and I’m currently pursuing another Master of Nursing in Australia to further enhance my knowledge and skills. With over 16 years of nursing experience, my passion has always been in helping people, advocating for their health, and making a positive difference in their lives.

Nursing is more than just my career — it’s where my heart truly belongs. I believe in combining professionalism with compassion, ensuring that every person I care for feels supported, respected, and valued.
